Frequently asked questions
Using Investometer
Pick a strategy, enter the property and its numbers, and see cash flow, returns and the break-even price. Then drag the what-if sliders to test other prices, rents or rates. See how it works.
With the same formulas everywhere: the form's live preview, the results page, scenarios and PDF reports. Results are estimates based on what you enter, and each field explains what it covers.
The price and rent come from public listing data for the address. Property tax, insurance, closing costs and utilities start from state averages, and the interest rate from Freddie Mac's latest weekly 30-year average. Check and edit anything before you rely on it.
Analyses saved before our latest update keep the results they were calculated with, so nothing changes without you knowing. Recalculating with the current formulas is free.
Plans and credits
Creating an analysis, a Quick Analysis, an edit, or a new PDF report. The what-if sliders, saving scenarios and re-downloading a report you already have are free. See pricing for each plan's limits.
From Settings → Billing. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Privacy and your account
Only you, unless you share one. On every plan you can create a share link; it expires after 24 hours, and anyone with an Investometer account can save their own copy from it.
From Settings → Profile. Deleting your account removes your analyses and data, and cancels any subscription.
