Community Terms

About these terms

These Community Terms apply to the Community at Investometer and supplement our Terms & Conditions, which continue to apply. Words defined there (such as "Company," "We," "You," "Service," "Content" and "Account") mean the same here. If these Community Terms and the Terms & Conditions conflict about the Community, these Community Terms apply.

By posting, replying or voting in the Community, You agree to these Community Terms and to the Community Guidelines, which form part of them.

Definitions

• Community means the parts of the Service where Account holders share Deal Reviews, reply to them, vote on them and show a public profile.
• Community Content means Content You make available in the Community, including Deal Reviews, replies, what-ifs attached to replies, votes, and the profile information You choose to show.
• Deal Review means a post in the Community that includes a copy of the inputs and results of one of Your analyses, along with the text You write.

Who can take part

You need an Account with a verified email address to post, reply or vote in the Community. Anyone, including visitors who are not signed in and search engines, may be able to view Community Content. Your plan may limit how many Deal Reviews You can post each month, as described on our pricing page.

What others can see

When You post a Deal Review, a copy of the analysis's inputs and results is published with it, together with the location detail You choose (exact address and photo, city and ZIP code, or city only). Later changes to Your analysis do not change the Deal Review unless You update it.

Your name and profile are shown on Your Community Content according to Your profile settings. By default, We show Your first name and last initial. We always show whether You have a paid plan (Pro or Premium). We never show Your email address, and We do not show how any individual voted.

Your responsibility for Community Content

The "Content" section of the Terms & Conditions applies to Community Content, including the license You grant Us. In addition, You confirm that:

• You have the right to share the analyses and information You post, and they do not include anyone else's personal information (such as the name, contact details or address of a tenant, seller, neighbor or agent), other than the property address You choose to show.
• You will follow the Community Guidelines.
• You will disclose any material interest You have in a property, deal, product or service You recommend, for example as an agent, lender, contractor, wholesaler or property manager.
• You will not use the Community to advertise, to solicit business or clients, or to offer or solicit investments of any kind, including interests in a property, partnership, syndication or note.
• You will not post Content that discriminates, or expresses a preference or limitation, based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin or any other characteristic protected by law, including under the federal Fair Housing Act.

No investment advice

Community Content reflects the opinions of the people who post it. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or real estate advice, and the Company does not review, verify or endorse it. Calculations in Deal Reviews are estimates based on the inputs provided. You are solely responsible for Your investment decisions, and You should consult qualified professionals before acting on anything in the Community. The Company is not a party to any transaction between Community members.

Moderation

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor Community Content. We may hide, remove or refuse any Community Content, limit Your use of the Community, or suspend or terminate Your Account if We believe it violates these Community Terms, the Community Guidelines or the Terms & Conditions, or is otherwise harmful. Content reported by several members may be hidden automatically until We review it. You can report Community Content using the "Report" option on it.

Removing Community Content

You may edit or delete Your Deal Reviews and replies at any time. If You delete Your Account, Your Deal Reviews are deleted; Your replies on other members' Deal Reviews remain as part of those discussions but are no longer associated with Your name or profile. The license You granted for Community Content continues for replies that remain in this way.

Notifications

If You post a Deal Review, reply to one or follow one, We may send You emails about new replies and similar activity. You can turn these emails off at any time from the link in each email or in Your profile settings.

Changes and contact

We may update these Community Terms. If a change is material, We will make reasonable efforts to tell You before it takes effect, and the date above shows when they last changed. Questions: [email protected].
